FLAMI eventually became NAMI-Finger Lakes, an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

NAMI-Finger Lakes actively provides support, education, and advocacy  for families with loved ones suffering from major mental illnesses.

We are unpaid volunteers  - all of whom have loved ones diagnosed with mental illness.

We are organized as a not-for-profit corporation in New York State (incorporated March 21, 2006), operating under these by-laws adopted in 2006.

We have IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status (granted July 19, 2006), and our 501(c)(3) status can be verified at the IRS Charities Search website by searching for Organization=NAMI, Location = Ithaca NY.
