Community Education

Trained NAMI volunteers provide a variety of educational programs to the Finger Lakes community. With the unique understanding of people with lived experience, these programs provide outstanding free education, skills training and support.

Dr. Lori Davis is a clinical sexologist in Ithaca, NY, blending sexual medicine with counseling to support clients in nurturing intimate and connected lives. As a dual Board Certified Nurse Practitioner and Certified Sex Counselor, her expertise lies in mind-body medicine, somatics, trauma, and relationship counseling.

In alignment with the Holistic Health Series’ focus on holistic well-being, Dr. Davis brings a grounded understanding of pleasure's role in mental and physical health. Her practice embodies the intersectionality of mental and physical health, promoting comprehensive wellness and resilience.

Join Dr. Davis on March 7th for the inaugural Hearts+Minds event, where she'll share insights on pleasure's impact on self-care and relationships, fostering meaningful dialogue and empowering attendees on their holistic wellness journey.

NAMI Finger Lakes Holistic Health Series is a program designed to educate and empower you to better manage your health — mentally and physically.

There is a clear and critical need to care for mental and physical health simultaneously. Understanding this connection and synergy is vital to overall wellness.
