NAMI Finger Lakes provides information about local resources for individuals living with mental health conditions and their families. In case of an emergency that requires police assistance, call 911 and ask for Emergency Responders with mental health experience. GRASP - Grief Recovery After a Substance Passing - A community of support and healing

Hospicare – They offer a range of grief support including support groups and workshops for residents of Tompkins and Cortland counties.

The Compassionate Friends (National Chapter)– A self-help organization offering friendship, understanding, and hope to bereaved families that have experienced the death of a child. (Ithaca Chapter)

HOPE for Bereaved - Free one-on-one counseling, support groups, community education and resources based in Syracuse, NY.

Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) - National nonprofit organization providing compassionate care and comprehensive resources for all those grieving the death of a military or veteran loved one.

Find a Therapist/Support Group - Resources to help you find a psychologist, psychiatrist, or support group near you from 988lifeling.org.

Suicide Survivor Resources - Local

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (National Chapter) -  AFSP provides those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death. (Greater New York Chapter)

NAMI Rochester Suicide Loss Bereavement Support Group– A support group to talk about feelings of loss and to remember the one who passed. Meetings are in-person and virtual.

Smiling Through The Storms – A support group based in Elmira for anyone who has lost a loved one through suicide. Meetings are in-person and virtual.

The Sophie Fund - Support information and crisis resources in the Ithaca Community.

Suicide Prevention and Crisis Services in Ithaca – Free and confidential crisis counseling, staffed by trained crisis counselors and volunteers.

Tompkins County Suicide Prevention Coalition - Their mission is to use data, science, and collaborations to identify and implement effective suicide prevention strategies for Tompkins County.

Suicide Survivor Resources - National

Suicide Prevention Resource Center - Government resource center devoted to advancing the implementation of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. Resources include trainings, an online library, prevention information and more.

Alliance of Hope - Online healing support. Their online forum operates like a 24/7 support group and their website contains support resources and information on the survivor experience.

SAVE - National organization working to prevent suicide through public awareness, education and as a resource for suicide survivors.
